Hey, Kaylee! I appreciate how you pointed out how much the weekly mindfulness exercises impacted the classrooms they were implemented into in the documentary. I also find the mindfulness app, Smiling Mind, very interesting, as it seems similar to the app I used, which was Calm. They both provide users with options to focus on different aspects of mindfulness that bets fits their lifestyle. If you look at the reviews for both of the apps we downloaded, there seems to be some reviews that claim that the apps do not help them in the way that they are intended to do so. I was wondering if you had any opinions on those reviews. Do you think that it takes a certain level of open-mindedness to take in before using these apps? Could people be shutting themselves out to achieving mindfulness? Overall, your blog post was very informative and you explained the different concepts and importance of mindfulness in a way that was easy to understand.

Hi Kaylee! How are you?? You provided clear explanations of the various ideas and the significance of mindfulness in your blog post, which was really educational. I like how you highlighted the significant effects that the weekly mindfulness exercises had on the classes where they were used in the video. I also thought that social emotional learning and mindfulness are crucial aspects of education since they have a big impact on the success and general well-being of students, instructors, and other members of the school community. Incorporating mindfulness and social-emotional learning into the curriculum promotes a comprehensive approach to education that puts the student’s growth and well-being first, preparing them for success in the classroom and in life. Your vlog was very well organized and overall easy to follow and comprehend along the way. A couple questions I have include, have you personally tried to use mindfulness while being in school and have you ever thought about being mindful in general?? Personally I didn’t realize how big of an impact being mindful in a classroom can be and I’m looking forward to introducing it into my future classrooms. Anyways, great post!
